This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on this website, and the equivalents used in our Apps. We use no advertising cookies or ad-tracking technology. You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser — see “Managing your choices”.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. Our analytics and this site's sign-in pages also use related browser storage (IndexedDB, localStorage and sessionStorage). We group them below by what they do.
Consent
We show no consent banner and store no consent cookie. This site sets no advertising cookies of any kind: the only measurement cookies are the analytics cookies described in the next section.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. This measurement sets first-party cookies (prefixed _ga) that let us tell visits and sessions apart, and keeps an installation identifier and a technical record with no identifier of yours (the library's version and the days it was used) in your browser's storage (IndexedDB). Google signals and all ad personalization are disabled: analytics data is never used for advertising or shared with ad platforms.
Payments
When a business enters a card to pay for its ads, it does so on our payment provider's own page (MONEI, at secure.monei.com). MONEI sets its own cookies on its pages, under its own privacy and cookie terms.
Similar technologies
Beyond the analytics described above, this website stores something in your browser only on the pages where a business signs in to manage the cards it pays for its ads with. That storage, which is not advertising, is the following: your signed-in session, kept by the authentication system until you sign out, and a technical record with no identifier of yours (the version of the Google Firebase library these pages use and the days it was used, which the library sends to Google with its requests), both in IndexedDB; your language preference, when you arrive through a link that sets it (localStorage); and, only until you close the tab (sessionStorage), a note of the payments you start, so the page can show you their outcome, and a marker that keeps the page from reloading more than once when the site is updated. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you do so in their own window, where they set their own cookies under their own terms. In our Apps, the equivalents are on-device caches, installation and messaging identifiers, and an attribution identifier — the Apps use no advertising tracking and do not use Apple's tracking permission.
Managing your choices
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings, including for this site only. Doing so doesn't affect how the site's public pages work: if you block cookies and site data for this site, we stop counting your visits, and if you delete them, we count your next visit as a new visitor's. On the sign-in pages it does: if you delete this site's data, you have to sign in again, and if you block it, you can't stay signed in.
